Speakers:
Stephen Tammoriello Ph.D. Associate Professor of Molecular Genetics and the Director of the Insti-tute for Equine Genomics at Binghamton University in New York, and the owner of ThoroughGen LLC, a New York-based equine genomics company. Dr. Tammariello has extensive research experience in molecular physiology, proteomics and genomics and has published papers in scientific journals including the Journal of Neuroscience, the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences (USA), and Cellular Immunology. He has been the recipient of multiple grants from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the United States De-partment of Agriculture (USDA). His research lab is currently studying the genetics of athleticism in horses and humans, and the role of oxidative stress in neurodegeneration.
