RACING and ACCREDITATION DEADLINES
TTA SALES FUTURITY:
For foals of 2012 already nominated to the 2014 TTA Sales Futurity, the final sustaining payment of $350 is due by Tuesday, April 15. That payment must be fax, credit card or postmarked no later than April 15. Payments made after April 15 cannot be accepted.
Those horses early nominated to the Sales Futurity as graduates of the Fasig-Tipton two-yr-old sale and that are ‘out’ in that sale are no longer eligible for the Sales Futurity.
Thursday, May 1st is the deadline for late nomination to the 2014 TTA Sales Futurity. Foals of 2012 that have been through the ring at a Fasig-Tipton Texas sale and have not yet been nominated to the Sales Futurity may be nominated by payment of all nomination and sustaining fees plus a $2,500 late fee for a total of $3,250. That payment must be fax, credit card or postmarked no later than May 1st. Nominations made after May 1 cannot be accepted.
There are no longer trials to determine entry into the TTA Sales Futurity. Horses get in by money earned and Sales Futurity nominees will be preferred entering 2YO races at Lone Star Park. The race will be run on July 12, 2014 with entries the previous Wednesday.
There is a $500 entry fee and $1,000 start fee that will come out of your horseman’s account at Lone Star Park.
TEXAS STALLION STAKES:
The final race in the 2013 Texas Stallion Stakes Series (foals of 2011) will be run at Lone Star Park on May 10 at a distance of 1 mile. Each division (fillies & colts/geldings) will race for a $75,000 purse. Entries will be taken Wednesday, May 7. Contact me or check our website for a list of nominated horses. The $500 entry and $1,000 start fees will be taken from your horseman’s account at Lone Star Park.
ACCREDITATION:
The deadline to accredit foals of 2013 for $75 is a postmark, fax or CC date of June 2 (this year May 31 is a Saturday). (TTA member fee is $75– non-members add $50 or become a TTA member for $60.) After that date, the fee to accredit foals of 2013 increases to $200. Do not ever send in the original Jockey Club Certificate, we just need a copy. Also, simply mail in an ATB application and the fee if the deadline is getting close and you have not received the JC Certificate.
