Horse Industry Escrow Account (HIEA) Funds enable us to pay ATB Breeder Awards when eligible Accredited Texas-Breds place 1, 2 or 3 in races run outside of Texas in the US when there is no live Thoroughbred Racing in Texas – unless the out of state race is a stakes with a minimum purse of $50,000.

Paid on an annual basis for the preceding calendar year, awards are based on a percentage of purse money earned.For 2021 racing, breeders eligible for full awards will receive 8.74% of purse money earned, and those eligible for 1/2 awards will receive 4.3% of purse money earned.
