On July 17, there is a public comment hearing in Austin on the subject of pari-mutuel wagering on historical racing in Texas. There will be no TRC Commissioners present at this meeting. TRC staff will compile a report to present to the Commissioners for their information, prior to the regularly scheduled TRC meeting in August.

Horsemen do not need to be present at the July 17 meeting. However, we do need as many horsemen in attendance as possible at the August meeting.

If you have already sent in a letter of support, or signed one of the printed or on-line petitions, that is all you need to do for now and we thank you for your support.

If you have not sent in a letter or signed a petition, please do so today. The deadline for submission is July 27.
