As you are likely aware, in the 2019 legislative session Texas lawmakers created the Horse Industry Escrow Account (HIEA). The funds in that account are now being used to strengthen racing purses in Texas and to grow the entire horse industry in our state.

Texas-Sired Texas-Bred Owner Bonus Awards for placing 1, 2 or 3 in Texas open company races are a result of that legislation.

Checks are mailing today for the 2022 race meet at Gillespie County Fair Grounds. Awards are based on 4.62040% of purse money earned.
