Attention Horsemen: Lone Star Park Issues Policies and Procedures Alert
(Grand Prairie, Texas – Monday, February 24, 2014) – Lone Star Park issued the following policies and procedures alert today: In order to remain compliant with federal and state regulations, we will be stepping up enforcement of the following currently in place policies:
ALL BULK SHAVINGS must be put inside the barn immediately after they are delivered. There can be no piles sitting outside the cover of the roof overnight. Any pile still out the day following delivery will be hauled to the manure bin.
ALL WASHING MACHINES must drain into the sanitary sewer drains that are inside the wash racks in each barn. The new procedure will be to ticket each washer that does not drain properly and then allow two days to correct the problem. If not corrected, the washer will be hauled to the garbage dumpsters.
ALL MANURE & BEDDING MATERIALS must be placed in the designated bins at all times and can never be spread around the hotwalkers. Any individual caught dumping manure anywhere other than the designated bins will be documented and warned the first time and is subject to exclusion for any future offense.
The Texas Horsemen’s Partnership advises all horsemen planning on training or racing at Lone Star Park this year to be aware of these policies and plan accordingly.
