Horsemen and women – we need you to act NOW! Time is running out in the current legislative session and two important Senate bills that can benefit the Texas horse industry are at stake!
Please contact both Lt. Governor Dan Patrick and your Senator to ask for a vote on the Senate Floor and their support of SB 1971 and SB 1972.
Senate Bill 1971 would create a purse matching fund from the state’s general revenue fund that is expected to increase purses by $25 million. As has been well publicized, the Texas Racing Commission and our industry need legislative action to survive.
