Southern Racehorse is holding a special online auction to raise money for the Texas Thoroughbred Educational Fund andThoroughbred Racing Association of Oklahoma scholarship fund. All proceeds will be split evenly between the two.
Up for auction is an autographed copy of the January/February issue of Southern Racehorse with the cast and filmmakers of the new movie “50 to 1” about Mine That Bird’s improbable victory in the 2009 Kentucky Derby. The autographs include producer, director and writer Jim Wilson and co-producer and writer Faith Conroy and actors Hugo Perez (Miguel), Christian Kane (Mark Allen), Todd Lowe (Kelly) and Skeet Ulrich (Chip Woolley). Also included is the new March/April issue of Southern Racehorse with an article about the movie with photos (this issue is not autographed).
To bid, simply send your name and bid amount to firstname.lastname@example.org anytime between now and Friday, April 4, at 5 p.m. Central. We will update the highest bid during the week on this page, and the winner will be the highest bidder when the auction closes (in the case of an identical high bid, the earliest bid will prevail). The winner can pay by check or credit card and the magazines will be shipped at no additional charge. Thanks for looking and good luck!
