ATB’S IN UPCOMING STAKES
Kenai Bob (Shackelford – Blue Ivy) will compete in a field of 11 for the $75,000 Shakopee Juvenile Stakes for 2-year-olds going 6 furlongs at Canterbury Park on Saturday, September 15th. Bred by Eureka Thoroughbred Farm, the colt runs for Mike Grossman and is trained by Francisco Bravo.  He won his first out by 1 ¾ lengths on July 15th and has odds of 10-1.

NOMINATING COMMITTEE ACCEPTING CANDIDATE RECOMMENDATIONS
This winter, TTA members will elect candidates to fill five at-large director positions in addition to regional director positions for the South and Northeast regions on the TTA Board of Directors.  Those elected will serve three-year terms beginning in 2019.

Ballots must be received for tabulating by December 15th.  All TTA members will receive ballots for the at-large positions, while only members in the South and Northeast regions will be eligible to vote in their respective regions.

The nominating committee will be accepting recommendations for candidates until September 19th.  Candidates must have been a TTA member in good standing for the past two years and a resident of Texas.

To submit a candidate for consideration, contact TTA Executive Director Mary Ruyle or any member of the Nominating Committee: Keith Asmussen, Ken Carson, Teo Mallet, Brant Savage, Bill Tracy, Alfred Vardeman DVM or Henry Witt Jr.
