ATB’S IN WEEKEND STAKES
Shotsoft (Grasshopper – Folksy) will compete in a field of 10 for the $50,000 Jean Lafitte Stakes for 2-year-olds going 7 furlongs at Delta Downs on Saturday. The stakes winner was bred in partnership by W. S. Farish and was sold in the Texas 2-Year-Old In Training Sale for $120,000 to M & M Racing (Mike Sisk). Karl Broberg trains the gelding, who won the El Joven Stakes at Retama Park on September 4 by 5 ¼ lengths. He has odds of 8/1.
Also on Saturday, Will Kari’s homebred stakes winner She’s Pretty Lucky (Lookin at Lucky – Pretty Amusing) is in a full field for the (Gr. II) $250,000 Lexus Raven Run Stakes for 3-year-old fillies going 7-furlongs at Keeneland. Trained by Eddie Kenneally, she won an allowance optional claiming race at Churchill Downs on September 28, and has 20/1 odds.

The Texas Thoroughbred Association Online Stallion Season Auction is now open. Thanks to the generosity of stallion owners across the region, you have the opportunity to purchase 2019 breeding seasons at special prices while at the same time helping the TTA’s Political Action Committee, General Fund, Texas Thoroughbred Educational Fund or Paddock Foundation. MAILBOX MONEY IS ON THE WAY
ATB awards checks for the 2018 Thoroughbred meet at Retama Park were mailed yesterday.
Awards are based on a percentage of purse money earned by ATB horses placing 1, 2 or 3 in any race. The percentages are as follows:
Breeders: 8.29187% of purse money earned
Owner: 8.6097% of purse money earned
Stallion Owner: 4.64972% of purse money earned
Also, if your horse placed 1, 2 or 3 in an OPEN Company race, you will receive an Owner Bonus award equating to 10.85847% of purse money earned.

2019 TEXAS 2-YEAR-OLDS IN TRAINING SALE
Consignment forms for the April 9, 2019 Texas 2-year-olds in training sale are in the mail, and also available at http://www.ttasales.com/forms/. Entry fee is $500 per horse, with a January 15, 2019 deadline.
