WITT’S FIVE WINS DEBUT EFFORT

First Winner for Five Demon Bag at Lone Star

Witt’s Five emerged victorious June 22 in his debut effort in the first race at Lone Star Park, making him the initial winner for first-crop stallion Five Demon Bag.

The 2-year-old gelding won the 5 1/2-furlong maiden special weight by a decisive 1 1/2 lengths in 1:05.69, earning $11,820.

A homebred for owner Henry S. Witt Jr., the Amanda Barton trainee is the first foal produced by the Graeme Hall   mare, Taitt Hill. The mare also has a yearling by Drums of Thunder, to whom she was also bred this year.

Five Demon Bag was bred in Kentucky by GM Thoroughbreds and is a son of Elusive Quality   out of the Rahy mare Ashtabula.
