IMPORTANT DEADLINES FOR HORSEMEN
Paperwork for Racing Accredited Texas-Breds:
Please be sure that TTA has your correct email address. If we have a valid email, ownership of a horse can be verified without the owner needing to fill out a transfer form.
TTA Sales Futurity:
For foals of 2011 already nominated to the 2013 TTA Sales Futurity, the final sustaining payment of $350 is due by Monday, April 15. That payment must be fax, credit card or postmark dated no later than April 15. Payments made after April 15, 2013 cannot be accepted.
Those horses early nominated to the Sales Futurity as graduates of the Fasig-Tipton Texas 2-Year-Old Sale that did not go through the ring at that sale are no longer eligible for the 2013 TTA Sales Futurity.
May 1st is the deadline for late nomination to the TTA Sales Futurity. Foals of 2011 that have been through the ring at a Fasig-Tipton Texas sale, and have not already been nominated to the 2013 TTA Sales Futurity, may be nominated by payment of all nomination and sustaining fees plus a $2,500 late fee for a total of $3,250. That payment must be fax, credit card or postmark dated no later than May 1. Nominations made after May 1 cannot be accepted.
The field for each division (fillies and colts/geldings) will be limited to twelve starters, who are determined by money earned. In order to give nominated horses ample opportunity for earnings and experience, Sales Futurity nominees will have preferred entry in 2-year-old maiden races at Lone Star Park leading up to the 2013 TTA Sales Futurity.
Both divisions of the 2013 TTA Sales Futurity will be run on July 6 with entries taken the previous Wednesday. There is a $500 entry fee and $1000 start fee that will be deducted from your horseman’s account at Lone Star Park.
Texas Stallion Stakes:
The final race in the 2012 Texas Stallion Stakes Series (foals of 2010) will be run at Lone Star Park on May 11 at a distance of 1 mile. Each division (fillies & colts/geldings) will race for a $75,000 purse. Entries will be taken Wednesday, May 8. Contact me or check our website for a list of nominated horses. The $500 entry and $1,000 start fees will be deducted from your horseman’s account at Lone Star Park.
Accreditation:
The deadline to accredit foals of 2012 for $75 is a fax date, credit card or postmark dated no later than May 31. After that date, the fee to accredit foals of 2012 increases to $200.
Do not send in the original Jockey Club Certificate; we only need a copy of the front and back of the certificate. If it is nearing the May 31 deadline and you have not received the Jockey Club Certificate, simply send in your application and fee to make the deadline and you may send in a copy of the certificate when available.
