Gabe B. Newman was called home to be with our Lord on April 13, 2014, at the age of 81. He was preceded in death by his son, Gary Newman; parents, Clint Newman and Ora Newman. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Eloise Newman; children, Gabriel Greg (Mary), Gale (Randy) and Gae Len (John); 6 grandchildren; and 2 great grandchildren. Gabe retired from Gary Pools after 46 years. He has raised and raced over 200 greyhounds. He also has raised and raced many horses, winning many races. Visitation will begin at 1:00 P.M. Thursday, with the funeral service to follow at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, April 17, 2014, at Vinyard Funeral Home, Floresville, followed by interment at Marcelina Cemetery, Wilson County, Texas.
