Congrats to Texas-sired and Louisiana-bred Westernator, who was just named the state’s champion 2-year-old colt/gelding by the Louisiana Thoroughbred Breeders Association. The winner of last year’s $150,000 Louisiana Legacy Stakes at Delta Downs was bred by Keith Asmussen, who co-owns the horse with his son, trainer Steve Asmussen. Westernator is by Intimidator, who stands at Asmussen Horse Center in Laredo.
