ATB’S IN WEEKEND STAKES
On Saturday, Lone Star Park will host the $65,000 Stymie division of the Texas Stallion Stakes Series for 3-year-old colts and geldings going one mile with a field of 7 Accredited Texas-breds.

Mike Neatherlin will saddle Roy W. Cobb’s homebred Mr Money Bags (Silver City – Miss Photogenic), who is the 1-1 favorite. The multiple stakes winner finished first by a whopping 11 ½ lengths in the $65,000 Jim’s Orbit division of the TSS at Houston on February 23rd and went on to win the $50,000 Groovy Stakes there on March 23rd by 7 lengths. His last out was in the $400,000 (Gr 3) Pat Day Mile Stakes at Churchill Downs on May 4th.

At 4-1 is stakes winner My Bling (Too Much Bling – My Girl Bess), bred by the late Ed Few and owned by HDT Allied Management LLC.  My Bling finished second to Mr Money Bags in both the Jim’s Orbit and the Groovy Stakes.  Trained by G. R. Bryant, he is coming off a 2 ¾ length win in an allowance race on April 26.

Douglas Scharbauer’s homebred Gold Buyer (My Golden Song – Most Magic) has been given odds of 9-2 and is trained by Bret Calhoun.  He won his last out in an allowance on April 21st.

Completing the field are Shotsoft (Grasshopper – Folksy); Mucho Dinero (Early Flyer – Won Peso); Right Lane Markusz (Eaton’s Gift – Wrenice); and Moro Charlie (Moro Tap – Moving Appeal).

The filly division of the Texas Stallion Stakes did not fill upon first offering, and will be offered again at a later date.

On Sunday, Moro Texas (Moro Tap – Randy Nance) will compete in a field of 7 in the $50,000 River Rock Casino Handicap at Hastings Racecourse.  He was bred by Wesley Melcher and is owned by J and G Racing Stables.  He has odds of 9 – 2.

ACCREDITATION DEADLINE FOR FOALS OF 2018
TODAY is the deadline to accredit foals of 2018 for a fee of $75 (TTA member rate).  If mailing, applications must be postmarked no later than today, or you may call the TTA office TODAY at 512.458.6133 to pay via credit card.
